Balkan invests in negotiable securities, mainly equities and equity-related securities listed on different official stock exchanges, primarily in the Balkans. The economic growth in the region is still in an initial phase and has thus great potential.
The countries are characterised by high economic growth rates, an increasing standard of living and high productivity, but they remain financially far behind the rest of Europe. Therefore, we expect the convergence process - in which the countries are catching up financially with Western Europe - to last yet another 40 years.
